Violet diode lasers have become common excitation sources on flow cytometers, but the advantages of this laser are constrained by limited choices for organic, violet-excited fluorochromes. We have developed a novel violet-excited organic dye, Krome Orange, which has an emission spectrum closely matching that of Pacific Orange* dye. It has excitation and emission maxima of 398 nm and 528 nm, respectively.
Exclusively from Beckman Coulter, our new organic fluor, Krome Orange™ dye, maximizes the potential of your violet laser. Krome Orange dye has been optimized for superior optical performance including high signal to noise ratios and minimal intra-laser compensation requirements.

Features
Krome Orange dye has been optimized for superior optical performance including high signal to noise ratios and minimal intra-laser compensation requirements.
• Narrow, well separated emission profiles
• Excited by violet laser; optimally detected using a 550/40 filter
• Virtually no excitation detected using a 488 nm laser

Krome Orange dye is at least as bright as Horizon™ V500 dye and can provide more than twice the population separation obtained with Pacific Orange™ dye conjugates and with little compensation versus Pacific Blue™ dye.
• Less compensation than Horizon V500 dye versus Pacific Blue dye
• Unlike AmCyan, essentially no compensation versus 488-excited channel
• Better population resolution than Pacific Orange dye
Krome Orange dye is optimally suited to deliver exceptional performance on instruments equipped with a violet laser.
Dye Excitation
Krome Orange dye is optimally suited to deliver exceptional performance on any flow cytometer equipped with a 405nm violet laser.

Staining Patterns
CD45 example histogram overlays of the fluorescence excitation and emission spectra showing Krome Orange staining patterns relative to other violet laser dyes.
Histograms
Example histograms showing conjugate staining patterns gated on monocytes except for CD14 overlay showing monocytes and lymphocytes. Histograms are labeled with staining index (SI) values.
